Cost of a replacement AC?

Hi,

So I need to replace the AC on my 2013 290ec. It has the 7,000 BTU unit.

Has anyone replaced this before? I've been quoted $2,500 for the full replacement including labor. I just need to know if that's reasonable.

Not a chance but thanks. He is quoting me an 8,000 BTU unit with install. Doesn’t sound bad as a price then.

Nothing cheap on a boat at $100+ an hour

Pretty easy to swap with some basic tools and patience. 10 hours at $100/hr seems like a long time. 

Does the $2500 include a new water pump? They’re expensive as F.

on table rock @ 125 hr = seasonal
toyota dealership = 143.50  hr

good luck on the new ac = pia now
but once finished = well worth

10 hours? Geezuz I did mine in 5 max, more like 3 and that included borrowing a portable ac from the neighbor.

Yeah, after doing it once it would be much shorter, had to run to the store twice and it was 25 mins one way!
