rinker 280 ec with lowrance globalmap 5200c wiring question

trying to figure the wiring on my globalmap 5200c   3 cables come out of power plug  1 is to power the unit the other is to power nmea2000 now the last one i think its data for nmea1803 but what is it connect to in the boat i am unable to follow it .other plug says nmea and has a cable plugged in it .is it for the antenea? is it plugged in directly or is there a drop ?

Right - the third cable is for serial comms such as NMEA-0183.  Do you have an older VHF radio?  It might be connected to the VHF to send GPS data.   

The NMEA 2000 (N2k) cable is probably connected to an external GPS receiver.   It might have an N2k backbone between the receiver and the 5200c.

yes i do thats how i figured i had nmea 0183  plugged to something  and i am still looking for n2k backbone

Yes, the cables behind the helm can get pretty messy.  But the 0183 is probably the VHF and the N2k is probably the GPS receiver.  That might be all you have.
