There was another incident very close in location on Saturday. ( Cedar Point) A family had their boat anchored in front of Cedar Point and wanted to swim in to shore and the father was overcome by the waves. He was retrieved by another group of boaters who called the Coast guard .  He was non-responsive .All in there were 7 people rescued on this call. Listened to it happen on the VHF radio. Not a good thing to hear happen live or ever. Wow! So lucky no one got killed. The major reason I'm not a fan of boating after dark. I'm confident in my abilities but I never know what other fools are out there.
