Gas struts for transom locker on 270

Looked through the forum for replacement gas struck SS and found a few others have used.  Some say 20# or 30#.  Others said soft close would be better.  Anyone find good #30 soft close or think 20# is enough?  Thanks for the help.

What transom locker on a 270? I don't have one on mine?

@rasbury on the larger 270 =🤠...I need mine replaced also
theres a part # = just pulled up atwood... no strut.

I thought Rinker changed the 270 model part way through 2006?  I know the logo changed as well.

No locker on my 2002...if anything they made the 270 smaller in the later models.  The beam anyways changed to 8' 6"

i guess it was my bad joke = not a bigger 270= but i do hava transom locker

Nice option. Those model years had the best layout in my opinion and that storage hatch and still 9'1" beam. I always considered that rear space behind the aft seat wasted on my 2000. Good luck on finding the perfect strut.

I have a fender storage box on the outside there....don't think there is much space between the seat back and the back anyway....would have lost some space somewhere else to have that....now you got the crap boat!
