There was an interesting episode on Powerboat Television this week on a visit to the new Mercury outboard factory in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin.
What impressed me the most is how spotless everything looked.

It's amazing how big some of those outboards are. They look to be about 6-8 feet tall. They're not your grandpa's stick-in-the-trunk 9hp anymore. Now it's literally a vertically mounted V8.

Very cool indeed.  I wish the parts about Mercury had been three times as long.
