@raybo3 You can get BUS discounts without the towing. It's just a membership that comes with a great magazine. Well worth the 15 bucks or so yearly. (oh, and my insurance has towing coverage, but I've always had BUS towing. May sound dumb, but over the last 20 years I've used it enough and don't want to go thru insurance for refund. Is much easier to call BUS towing and be done with it all quickly).
@Dream_Inn Most fueling "stations" around here are owned by marina's. The place I went to is really the only one around here that is not a marina. Its the only place that offers the discount and its for Sea Tow only. Our price ranges are drastic in this area. I paid $2.35 per gallon but my yacht club is $3.00. I saved $110. I went another 15 miles and they were getting $3.48 and now prices are starting to go up.........

Yea our gasoline at the gas dock (ethanol free) is in the $3.50 arena. Last week I got diesel for $2.85 though and one guy here has diesel for $2.50 but he has no pump out and its not valv tech so I paid a little more since I only needed 60 gal...
You guys are fortunate. Check out the ON-water prices at the Marinas at the lake that I frequent. I rarely have to fuel up after launch, because my 232 has a 73 gallon tank, which gives me a HUGE range. Prices are pretty shocking!
I believe if i had a marina who doesnt allow fuel cans id invest in an old ragged fishing pontoon. Id have a 200 gallon fuel transfer tank mounted in the middle of it and a little 9.9 kicker on the back. Id motor my fuel up dingy over to my boat then tow the dingy it out where i can fill up.
Diesel is less than 1.90 a gallon about 3 miles from my shop.
I understand youre paying for convience but id have an issue paying that
