in hull transducer

i want to add a depth transducer to my 280ec can i put an in hull transducer really don t want to pull out of the water to change transducer which is a thru hull

    Don't see why you can't, it's done all the time. There are particular techniques to getting them bedded properly to the hull. And you have to ensure it is sitting perpendicular to the hull so it's shooting straight down. Most companies that manufacture thru hull transducers have an angled ring that is mounted first to help get it perpendicular.

    The only limitation is hull thickness and if it is a cored hull or not. The ones i looked at said not to use on a cored hull or if over 5/8 in thick.
