Fault Code "AF" On Genny

Started the genny for first time this season. Ran for about 30 seconds then stopped and displayed Fault Code "AF" -- anyone know what that code is? Couldn't find anything on Kohler's site other than a mention in their home genny manual that it's a tripped Emergency Stop button?

On my 5ECD AF is listed as Auxiliary Fault .

Yes, that's what I also found - but what exactly is it? I can't find any specifics for what to do to clear it.

Have you tried to reset it by turning the generator battery switch off and back on?

Thanks for the reference. You're right: "Check the cause of the auxiliary fault" doesn't help much. Whoever wrote that in the manual must have read Catch-22.

I did turn off the battery switch, but had to get home, so I'll try again when I go back tomorrow.

Hopefully it will reset itself when you turn the switch back on.

I'll try the reset procedure from Page 22, but step #3 is: "Identify and correct the cause of the fault shutdown." Ugh...

Customer supplied switch would be remote start or battery switch maybe?  Try starting it from the panel on the genset itself.
