Ecovac Vacumm Toilet system

I have a 350 Rinker with a Ecovac toilet system. Should I leave the flush toilet switch on all the time. When I do the discharge pump (I think that is what it is) stays on and does not shut off. It is located under the trash can right by the ice maker. I just bought the boat and not sure if this is normal. Thanks

    Yes, you should be able to leave it on all the time.  If the pump keeps running, it means there is a leak somewhere that is preventing the vacuum reservoir from pressurizing.  Take a look at the valve inside the toilet bowl.  Is there something keeping it from sealing?  Maybe some debris or mineral buildup?
