Carpet Snaps

I just got my new carpet kit from Matworks.  I am going to replace all of the snaps screwed to the cockpit deck.  Would I be correct in removing and when screwing down the new snap put some 3m 4200 Sealant on each screw.  I will post some pics when it’s done.

Use 3M 4000UV , this way any visible sealant will stay white and not turn yellow.

Agreed with @aero3113. I never use 4200 anymore. 

I didn’t know about 4000 and I used 4200 on my old boat to redo the seam between the upper transom and hull (it wasn’t one piece like the 330). It looked amazing for 2 weeks and then it went yellow. I was so angry. Still angry.
