IAC position

My 246 is having some issues starting. It stalls when trying to start but if you give it gas she’ll start.

fuel pressure is at 43 lb, IAC filter is pretty clean but the inside of the IAC has some corrosion.

It not throwing any codes on the Rinda.  I am thinking it’s the IAC motor.  With the key on the IAC position  is 10 and running is around 60. Are these parameters normal?

I should also add, in the past, when I turned the engine off you would hear a slight hiss/air sound near the IAC and now I don’t.

I’m not sure about the readings you’re getting, but it does sound like you need to replace the IAC.

Yep, you could try removing and cleaning the IAC, but results may be short term.  I agree replacement may be necessary.

You do realize Long Island is 100 miles long so “in your area” is relative. I could be in the area with a NY address but actually 150 miles north of NYC plus out to the east end of LI.

Well it's not like I was saying aero was gonna stop by and fix it. I just knew aero had all the IAC info from his maintenance fixes. Also 100 miles isn't that far in my opinion, I drive 56 miles one way to work.

Long Island is 10 miles form CT but you live 100 miles from me with that said I would change the IAC. I need to spend more time with the scan tool did not know you could get that info
