Im also interested but the price is insane. I can buy house batteries group 27 for about 100 a pop shop price. Unless i decide to go low carbon foot print, live board/off the grid I cannot justify the price.
Unless battery manufacturer wants to sponsor a 2859 YouTube channel 😂😂😂😂 ill stick to my current batteries.
If the price drops on them to a couple hundred I see them being used by the average Joe.
Id be willing to bet some bass fishing guys use them, guys who run trolling motors for hours on end. I also bet they are sponsored or are charter guys.
@oscar1 I haven't seen anybody using lithium batteries in express cruisers.
If you want better performance from your house bank, take a look at thin-plate pure lead (TPPL) batteries such as NorthStar. They last longer and recharge faster than lead-acid batteries. I've been using them for a couple years.
If you are serious about Lithium butteries they need to be treated differently than your traditional battery and need to be housed in something that can contain a thermal runaway condition.
I just looking to take some weight off the boat because i have 4 agm group 31 batteries right now which at 72 pound each do the math. so one for each motor and two for the house use.
