2007 Rinker 270 EC Cabin Door Wanted

Several years ago, our cabin door was broken irreparably.  We have been unable to find a replacement.  I contacted Rinker but they had no replacement door.  We're now wanting to sell the boat, but the broker won't even list it without the door.

I've looked everywhere and can't find a replacement door.  Does anyone know of a scrapped 270 that I could canibalize a cabin door from?

Hey, welcome to the forum.  That's a tough situation.  You might find a door on greatlakesskipper.com, but it would cost at least $1000.  I assume you've searched the boat salvage places that advertise online ...

Did you try contacting the manufacturer of the door?  They weren't made by Rinker in-house and I would give you the name off mine but I took the logo off.

I literally just looked at the name on mine and now I can't remember 😟. It is certainly not Rinker though.

Yes that's the same one on my 280 as well. Hopefully that gets you in the right direction.

Looks like you may be out of luck. Did a quick Google search and another forum thread said that they went out of business in 2009...

I have no idea if this company can help but I’ve used them in the past to make windows and lenses for some vintage aircraft. If you can make a template they can make it. If they can only make it clear, you can wrap it or paint it.

I bet there was some significant parts sharing; maybe someone with a 2010+ 340/360 can advise what brand their door is.

Maybe it's easier to get a new broker or sell the boat on your own.

Thanks for the link, Aero.  In 2010 Spartech sold their marine division to Teak Isle.  I contacted Teak Isle last year.  They don't have the equipment to make the door anymore, but they did get me the design template.  I'll contact LP Aero and see what they can do.

If you find a molder like LP Aero (I am not familiar with them but looks like a great lead on custom molding) and they can only offer clear, PM me. The company that I work for supplies color masterbatch for molders like them and perhaps I can help.
