Cleaning The Chain locker And Rode

I wanted to clean the chain locker and rode last season but ran out of time. I soaked the rode in laundry detergent then let it dry in the sun. Smells great now, LoL!

I soak my lines too , then soak in fabric soften keep them easy to work with.

Must have a small head, my noggin won’t get in there to look around. I also use fabric softener on the lines when I wash them end f season and the rode last time I did that.

Also a great opportunity to take the twist out of the braided line to help prevent snarls on the gypsy.

Amazing how the anchor lines hold up being subjected to that environment. Probably some pretty gross anchor lockers out there.

If I have some time this weekend may do the same. I've got a nice big access port right at the windlass.

LoL! Funny you say that @Pat310 . My wife was sent home from work yesterday (she’s a middle school guidance counselor) with a low grade fever. She got tested yesterday also, we’re waiting on the results. She says she feels fine today and has no fever.
