Magnetic Compass Malfunction

Has anyone had any experience with a magnetic compass malfunctioning.  Mine only swings 5 to 10 degrees around a fixed heading.  Is it worth trying to get repaired?

Few are repairable.  Does it have a bubble at the top?

Make sure you don’t have anything near it that can be interfering with it. I remember someone on here had a cordless drill stored in the cabin and it was causing issues with some items on the dash.

I agree with aero.  I had a flashlight in the cupholder earlier this year.  It had a magnet on it to hold it where you need it.  Took me a bit to figure it out.
