Best paint for touch-up and corrosion prevention on the engine block?

My engines have some rust spots that I want to repaint ... looking for recommendations on paint products for a "paint in place" gloss black finish that doesn't require sand-blasting.  

POR-15 Engine Enamel seems like an obvious choice.  What others should I consider?

Brush on Rustoleum works well also.

I have had great luck with Rustoleum 2x spray paint , brush off loose paint and surface rust, clean, dry and paint , then after complete dry I spray on fluids film

I'm doing my engine pulleys right now with a flat black that is used in high heat places, made to go directly onto rusty grills with no sanding.

POR-15 is a great product. POR = "paint over rust.'
Works well on surface rust on risers. Andy

@andyd For your risers, did you use the regular POR-15, or POR Engine Enamel?

@LaRea I used regular POR-15. For very high temp areas up to 600 degrees such as exhaust manifolds their high temp version is recommended.  The website says regular POR-15 is suitable for automotive engines and steam pipes. If you are painting a small area get the smallest size can. After the first use the paint does a good job of gluing the lid shut! Andy

When you go to close the can, put a plastic bag over the top, then put the lid on.

I used POR-15 for the first time a couple weeks ago.  Even with a brand-new, unopened can, I almost destroyed the lid trying to open it!  I used plastic when I closed it.

@aero3113 Thanks for the tip. I imagine Saran Wrap would work well. I've just been wiping the inside rim on the can to help solve this issue. Andy

Also if you punch some small holes around the can rim it will drain all the paint back in
