Lot's of questions. But apparently he had to get off of the boat so fast he didn't have time to grab a PFD or send a distress call.

This doesn’t make sense to me. How do you go to sleep by yourself in the ocean??

I thought the same thing. If he went to bed after the mechanical failure (since his home harbor said he never stayed out overnight) why wasn't there time enough to don a PFD and/or radio for help?

I went 70 miles out with a 32 Trojan and 8 foot swells. 😂
