Mounting a grill

Has anyone thought about using the davits slots on the swim platform as a base for mounting a grill?

Uncanny timing. I just got back from the boat, taking some measurements and just looking at that exact scenario.

I got a great deal on @LaRea's old Magma, and then picked up a mounting pedestal set off of eBay.

I like the idea of standing on the swim platform with the grill hanging over the water so I'm brainstorming ideas on how to make a removable base that will work with the davit slots.

Good winter project.

It would make a great winter project, unfortunately our boat is in storage for the winter.  Please keep us posted with your winter project.
