I put the switch in the same place as yours. installed a Y valve after the holding tank, then the macerator pump after that. for the purpose of pumping over, or the option of pump out. With the Y valve. In my area there is no place to pump out, so it was a 30 mile boat ride, one way, lock through a dam and $100 in fuel to go there and back.
Check local laws, on pumping out. some states require a lock on the Y valve.
I guess I will have to follow the wires to mine, and follow the wires to the switch in the battery switch box. So Randy56 you need to hit the switch everytime someone goes to the bathroom?
No, that holding tank, holds enough for a couple days or more use, watching your consumption. Showers ect. Forgot how many gallons, someone help me with that.
I did turn the switch on and nothing that I could hear or see happened. If it is the macerator then its not working. @randy56 the only inlet pipe I see going to the tank is after the macerator. I don't see any other way to pump to the holding tank. I'll take a picture and post it.
Oh ok thanks I guess I assumed wrong.. Hoping to take boat out Thursday or Friday. I have a lot to check. Also I was changing the outdrive oil and the bottom drain hole would not come out. I finally got it out without damaging the threads with easy out. I filled it up and when I put the plug in it would not stop leaking. I am assuming again, we know what that means, that I put the wrong plug in. I used a new magnetic plug but then the prop hits something when I try to turn it. So I have one coming without the magnet tomorrow.
When you removed the drain plug did you make sure the old seal came out and did you put a new seal on when replacing? I always put a new drain plug seal on each service
I bought the boat in Florida and only put about 8 hours in it since I got it. It has 413 hrs total. Yes I also put new washers but I went ahead and bought new plugs and washers. The washer did come off with the screw. What I think happened was when I had to drill through the screw to extract I hit dead center and knocked the magnet off and sent it to a gear and thats what is causing the prop drive to only move and feels like it hits somethinmg. I think my best course of action is to remove the lower drive unit and take the prop drive out and hope its stuck on one of the gears. Anyone has any ideas on the subject please advise. It will be a couple weeks before I will be able to work on it.
