My 2005 Rinker 282  BR has a bimini that when lowered rests on the tops of my seats and over time has started to rip the tops of the vinyl seats. How can I avoid this ?

Do you have to lower it? Can you store it rolled up in the up position?

We store in a dry storage facility, so it has to be down.
