Cabin Entry Door

Hello! I am looking for any assistance; trying to find how to get a replacement door for a 1998 330 Rinker. I called Rinker and they cannot help me, they no longer have the prints for this door. We contacted some plastic companies to see about getting one made and they are requiring the prints for the door otherwise we would have to have new prints made and the door would cost a couple of thousand which we do not have. I am shocked that Rinker cannot help us with parts for their boat. Any thoughts/suggestions??

I don't have a clue but I know they are over $1000. if you can find one

What is wrong with your old one. A good shop might be able to fix it....

The door split in half - it was previously broke when slammed too hard. We called a custom plastics shop but they said because of the bend they wouldn't be able to make it.

I did call boat outfitters but without prints they couldn't help but I will try the other. thanks!!

You might try Wolfs Marine in Benton Harbor, MI. They have all kinds of odd/overstock parts from boat manufacturers

You may be able to weld the crack and then refit the door.

Check out plastic welding locally for your area.

Try a hot tub repair place they weld cracks in tubs

Easier said than done I've never seen a boat junk yard in my part of the country

It may be worthwhile to drive if the alternative is to pay thousands for a custom door that may not fit. Where do written off boats go?

Can't speak for every county in-land but our Fl coastal counties, especially Sarasota, have gotten pretty aggressive about dead boats. Currently they drag dead/abandoned boats that are at anchor or on a dock up to the ramp, separate(with an excavator) the metal and toxic parts then crush the rest and stuff 'em into a dumpster right there. Pretty surprising (and kind of sad) at how fast it's done and how little room it takes up. If it's a derelict boat they don't wait for them to sink or lie in some side lot like the old days. It's relegated to a land fill pretty quickly, along with any parts that might have been useful.
