Lately, the highest of high fashion is to have huge, ugly outboard engines clogging up the social space at the transom.  The new Outback Yachts 50 throws that model on its ear ... no outboards, and no transom either!

Fair weather type boat - wouldn't want that transom in a following sea though...lol

Not sure if the rack of outboards on the stern will be a fad or not. Speaking of fads, Levi's announced that skinny jeans are out. Thanks god.

I understand the performance aspect of outboards but the boat looks so much better with inboards. I am not a speed freak anyhow so high performance isn't a top priority.

Of course, the entire upper deck will be useless in hot weather, and a bimini would destroy the look of the boat.  But still ...
