Shower Sump Vent?

Is there supposed to be a vent on the sump box? When I winterized it last fall I noticed some antifreeze in the mid bilge. Turns out the float was stuck and it either leaked out the top seal or what I think is a vent? I can seal that hole off if it’s not used as a vent. I’m pretty sure it’s open, I should’ve stuck a wire through to make sure.

Yes, that is a vent!  I added some tubing to mine to let any potential overflow go where I want.

Would be nice if there was an opening from the mid bilge to the aft bilge to run the hose.

On my 330 I Velcro’d a damp away container onto the top of the shower sump. Lots of humidity in there. Emptied it weekly.

If you measure I think you'll find there's a fake floor in the midship bilge: I drilled down, epoxied in limber hole, and added a check valve (want water to only go down, where the chase carries it to the rear bilge.

    Mine is a 280.
