Interesting write up on those fans MT. Sounds nice. I have been using the one that DI posted above with good results and very low amp draw. Actually they are a carry-over from my scrooge like days as an amp counter from sailing. This 5kw genset powerboat era has changed my frugal ways
I just wanted to add for reference that for a fraction of the price, I use a cheapy fan from amazon that has 1.2/0.7 amp draw for Hi/Low speed. It's got a nice 10' long chord that plugs into the lighter socket and oscillates. I only use it on the hottest of days and usually near a "i'm always hot" person.
Michael T, I added the exact same fan in my cabin 3 years ago. It was one of the easiest upgrades with great benefits. It really equalizes the AC/heat in the cabin or when not using AC/heat it moves the fresh air around. I love the different speeds and timer functions. If something were to happen to the fan I would have to replace immediately.

Nice set up Mike! I like the automatic shutoff.
Aero, if you are concerned about battery usage, we use the O2 fans that can operate off of external batteries with good results.
