Location for Hole for Transducer Cable

I have a 2006 Captiva Bowrider and want to add a transom mounted transducer. The hole location is tricky as the inside looks slightly different than the outside. Does anyone have pictures of ones they may have done? The years 2004 thru 2009 were all very similar. Thanks in advance.

Adding - the hole i have to drill is 1" so its rather large.

Welcome to the forum!  A 1" hole is huge for a transom cable penetration.  Is there a way to remove the connector?  Which model transducer is it?

Not sure this is what you are talking about but this is how I did mine on my old bowrider. 
Run the wire up above the water line and use a clam shell type cover (red circle) and fill it with 4200. Make sure any cable holders have plenty of 4200 in the screw holes. Never fun drilling holes in your boat. Hope this helps.

I would've gone higher above the waterline, except the molded-in swim platform support was there. You want a solid transom where you drill, and if you're smart: grind away some transom wood from the edges and fill with epoxy, then drill your epoxy and 4200 the clamshell.
