Almost ready to splash.

I’m getting close to launching my FV 270 for our fifth season in Rhode Island.  I retired at the beginning of the year so we hope to use the boat a lot more than past summers.  I fixed a nice big gash in the gel coat with Spectrum gelcoat matched to the hull. I also replaced the house battery, changed the fluids, installed a new impeller, waxed, bottom painted, installed new zincs (actually aluminum), and had the rear eissnglass that was yellowed replaced. The yard mechanic will replace the fuel pump, pull and inspect the risers and manifolds and inspect the bellows this week, replacing if needed.  Looking forward to trips to Block Island, Cutty Hunk, Martha’s Vineyard and the Connecticut River. Hoping the preventative work will lead to a mostly problem free summer!
