On my 342 every year after the "shake down run" I have to fill the S/B side reservoir. After that, never a problem

Yep, the only other thing I noticed over the years was the level would change with temperature. It would be close to the fill line in winter storage in February and then almost full on a hot day. Lube definitely expands and contracts with temp.

I have had a big burp in the spring after launch. I realized that I filled the drive in the up position instead of down. Hopefully that is the case. I will be waiting for a Rinker to pull up along the river next weekend to pick me and my wife up. 😂

I had the shaft seal replaced on my starboard side in the fall. I noticed the reservoir went down about about an inch a few weeks after I installed the drive this spring. Got nervous then remembered I had that work done and was probably an air pocket. I do notice also that air temperature makes a big difference on where the level will be when the boats not in use.

Got back to the boat today.  2 weeks after I launched and had to top off the reservoir.  It didn't lose any more..so crossing my fingers.  I didn't get a chance to take her out.  We shall see.  Rest of the weekend is calling for rain unfortunately.
