Captiva 232 Bilge pump.

The float switch on my 232 bilge pump has gone out and I want to go ahead and replace it. It is located just in front on the engine and is inaccessible from above. It looks like I would have room if I took the floor and rear seat out. Has anyone tried this? By the way it looks, it's either the seat or the engine and seat seems easier. Any and all advice is appreciated.
