Transducer mount position

Getting ready to mount my transducer for my new GPS unit. Wondering where people have mounted theirs ? Any close up pics would be great and very helpful. Thanks ahead of time. It's a 2000 Captiva 232.

    You want to make sure it’s not aligned with any strakes on the bottom of the hull. The strakes make turbulence that will give incorrect readings. Also, don’t align it with any through hull fittings, the same will happen.

    Mine is about mid way between the keel and starboard motor. If you have the depth right it shouldnt lose bottom till about 22-24mph. Sometimes you have to play with it a little.
