Rinker 270 Fiesta Vee - Windlass Dumb Move

Ok. Not the smartest move today. After anchoring for the afternoon I went to retract the windlass and forgot to undo the windlass cleat hitch. The breaker by the windlass switch did not pop but my windlass stopped working. We retracted manually by hand.

Does anyone have any advice? Is there a thermal overheat or another breaker/amp? Or will I have to replace the windlass? Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

There is nothing else aside from the breaker that I know of. Can you hear the windlass making any noise when you press the switch up or down such as a clicking noise? Maybe it got jammed and stuck.

No noise at all. I’m expecting there is a fuse somewhere. I’ll take it apart later this week.

Check for breaker in battery switch panel. Just guessing here.

Double check the breaker by the switch. Maybe even reset it if you can.

I’ll reset it a couple of times when I go out later in the week. Hopefully I can trouble shoot it and save my dumb move….

Yes there should be a pop out breaker in with the battery switch.

I have seen it happen that the breaker/power cut off near the switch looks ok, but if you fully pop it with the lever and reset it, it works. Good luck!
