Interesting post Drew. Haven't used that app so I thought I'd download it until it looked like it was $10, which started a 2hr update/search of the newer free marine plotters (too many to count) and I eventually stumbled onto the very cool and free program called Marine Plotter. It's free and detailed with Rastor and google earth map overlays all tied to your gps. LINK TO Marine Plotter

Being a get around guy on a trailer I was just going to post a map of Florida as our boating area but I'll try and get a nav screen shot of our local port.....no, not my shop. Capturing a screen shot with my route might be a challenge but I'll give it a go. In the mean time I thought I'd bump your post so try that link and see what you think. Start with the youtube links posted by a cruiser anchored off Baha who narrates a great how-to for setting up and using the software. Mike

The old RBO was great for this. It mapped out everyones locations of you input the info.

I use them on two forums that I host.. given, I use an open source forum platform on those pages that are easier to find plug-ins for..

that link provided is still in beta.. there must not have been a high demand, er, something... 

we can kill this thread, if you like, set up a google member map, and link it to a new sticky thread if that works.. would work the same, just wouldnt be integrated... 

i started this one because i am fascinated with charts for reasons unknown... maps, too... but charts, especially antique charts, are pretty dang cool... :-D
