Checked my Amazon Wishlist to see if anything was on special for Prime Day.

Quicksilver 25W-40 Synthetic Blend is on sale for $29.88/gallon. (Was $33 last night.) Best price I've seen in a while so I ordered two gallons to stock up for the annual fall oil change...

so, maybe this is a dumb question.  I have been using and still have 2 gallons of Mercury 4-stroke 25W-40.  Would it matter if I mixed it with this Quicksilver?  I'd think they are the same?

I'm buying the oil!  I also found the AC Delco plugs that will fit.  I had a backfire last Saturday and changed them out on one motor and all works well now.  $72 for the 8 plugs, but that's all they had.  Found them right now on Amazon for $32 for 8.  I'm getting 2 packs!

Agree. I think Mercury brand is supposed to be sold only by Mercury dealers, whereas Quicksilver is their brand for sale at all other retailers (Wallyworld, etc.).

mine are definitely 41-983, not a typo.  Mine are for 496 motors, so we definitely could be different.

Seeing a lot of normal prices here in this thread, starting with the OP. 

Check out the Keepa extension for chrome/safari, etc..  it tracks all amazon prices for all items and shows it in a nice graph under the item.. 

As you can see, you just have to hit it at the right time to get that oil for 30 bucks..

This is 30+ bucks off according to Keepa, so nice deal! Even lower than when it was a lightning deal.

Prime Day in Canada has been cancelled/postponed. They've had some Covid outbreaks in some of their facilities and as a result can barely keep up to regular demand. They have however donated $1.5 Million to the Canadian Red Cross and United Way which is classy. Jeff Bezos must have cleaned out his change drawer....

I grabbed a Blink camera today, $40 off, @aero3113’s episode got me thinking. What I am using now (repurposed iPhone) reboots when its hot inside the cockpit. Need something more reliable.

The vacuum seems to work well, at least good enough for the boat. Everything fits perfectly in the cabinet below my breaker cabinet. Even the long shaft collapses to make it compact. The battery can be removed from the main unit to charge also.
