Radio presets

Why are the radio presets (FM channels) being "deleted"? 

I always turn off the battery switch (out of abundance of caution) when I leave the boat at the end of the day. Does that erase the presets on the radio? Is there a workaround (other than leaving battery switch on)?

Small problem, but it sucks having to go down and re-tune the radio

Boat - 2008 260 EC
Radio - stock Clarion M455A

    You can wire the radio directly to the battery. If you do this it will save your presets.

    It should be wired to the battery (before the battery switch), but it goes through a circuit breaker.  At the battery switch panel, look for a circuit breaker labeled "STEREO MEM".  If it's popped out, push to reset.
