How many of you keep a emergency tow rode on your boat? We do not have sea tow or any other type of towing service. This one is rated at 6000 lbs.

I don't.  If I have to be towed by a non-professional, a side tow would be safer than a stern tow for my 10-ton boat.

Recycled arborist bull rope.  It floats, doesn't stretch, uv resistant and abrasion resistant. As soon as it shows any frays or chafe tree companies can no longer use them. True blue Sampson, i believe, is the one I currently keep on the boat.  It's approx 11/16 (metric 17 or 18mm) or so thick.  125 ft long.  I use it as a rear anchor line to tie off to my screw in beach anchor.

Plenty stout enough for me to tow a house boat.

We are a dealer for arborist supply items so I give a little trade in for customers ropes when they buy new ones.  They also make great rope swings.

I have one of these at my house that I didn't notice was left after they did some tree topping for me.  I kept thinking I'd find a use for it, but I have tow service so I'm not sure I'd keep it on boat for that.  Already have a great stern anchor line.  Hmmm.  Maybe I should just sell it cheap to someone here.
