Something you don’t see every day.

So, tonight around 10:30pm, cruising about 200 miles over the gulf at 34,000’, we saw something pretty cool. The FO looks out the window and says what the heII is that?  All we could tell was that it was really high, and moving really fast. It only took a few seconds for the radio chatter to start, and ATC informed us that it was the Space X Dragon re entry. It went right over the top of us. There was no way to capture a picture that does the thing justice. I’ll bet that tail was 10 miles long.

We saw it for maybe a minute. Probably a little less. 

It wasn’t burning up. They had drone ships up and were doing a recovery on it.
