Hi Rinker Friends,  today leaving Mattituck Inlet, NY was crushing at 3800 RPM then lost the port engine, no alarms/no warnings. Never got it started again and limped home on the starboard screw.  FV 320 Twin Volvo Penta 5.0 GXI’s, any ideas?

Make sure you have fuel and spark those are the first steps. You can listen for the pump to prime when you turn the key on before start and you can put a plug on one of the wires and touch it to the block to check for spark as someone cranks.

This is really out of left field, but I had an issue with a neutral safety switch connector that prevented starting the engine.  No alarms or anything.  Not sure if the engine would shut down if the neutral safety was disconnected during travel?  Very cheap and easy fix though.
