I finally got around to installing my new ac unit. It didn’t go as straight forward as I was hoping. If there wasn’t a diverter that needed to be fitted to the blower it would’ve been a simple install. I had to rig the original diverter to fit with a run to Home Depot. It needs to be positioned like the old unit because the charging port is on the lower LH front. Any other position would put the port in a strange area. Since it was positioned this way, I had to lengthen some of the hoses. The gauges are also facing the correct way.I also relocated the control box to the area under the drop in bin under the fwd birth. @YYZRC sorry I forgot to do a sound test before I pulled the old unit out, but I can say it’s MUCH quieter. I think most of the noise is the blower running. Nice and cold now 🥶!!

Yes, I love mine as well. So much better than whatever was in there as far as sound goes. It also has a better control panel that can be paired with a little wifi remote. This means that when you get within xx miles of your boat, the AC will automatically turn on. Love getting there to a nice ice cold boat every time.

Interesting that your AC was mounted on an angle. My 330’s AC pan was parallel to the hatch opening.

@YYZRC I tried to mount it parallel but the duct wasn’t reaching. I didn’t want to have to redo everything.

@YYZRC, we’re anchored out for the night. First night out with the new ac. Just turned on the generator to turn on the ac to cool the cabin down. I don’t even hear it running!! All I hear is the generator. This is night and day from the old ac unit. 1000 % happy! 🥶

I’m laying in the V birth as I write this. With the old unit, the fwd birth would vibrate whenever the unit was on. I feel nothing, no vibration at all.

When I changed mine out I used rubber pads and shimmed the other side to tilt the unit toward the drain.

@Handymans342 the pan is lined with rubber, so are the mounts. There was a piece of wood that was originally there to tilt the unit towards the drain also.

Can the newer controller be used on the older units? That's my biggest complaint is all the secret button pushing on the old controller to make it do different modes.

The girls are sleeping in the cabin. My wife and I are up in the cockpit enjoying some drinks. The cabin door is open and the ac is cooling the cockpit. I have the camper back up, it’s a very humid night but only 70 degrees. The ac is making it very comfortable for us.

All season I was fighting with the new controller to stay secured with double sided tape because the previous hole was too big. I had @diggin2day1 make me a bezel. This is what he came up with, looks great!
