My '07 370 with Merc 496 B3 is 2.2 ratio.  If you can find the serial number for the outdrive, look it up here:

The ratio is usually stamped on the housing.

My drives have tags that are screwed on by the mounting bolts. They have all the drive info stamped on them.

Not sure what kind of time you have, but have you talked to All American Drive Service? They are only 90 min or so from your current location and several guys on here have used them for drive rebuild and they reported a huge cost savings over new and good quality of work. I am sure someone who has used them will chime in.

Good luck, you will be going right past the lake erie islands once you get back under way. I hope you have time to stop at least at Put-In-Bay (South Bass Island). Will be worth it to stop there.

You can use your engine serial number at near any dealer to look up what outdrive you have.  That is so long as it was registered when purchased new.

A fellow member here is a dealer, was kind enough to get me my info as my tag was long gone

Def gonna reccomend you call George at All American as @Liberty44140 mentions above.  I had him rebuild my drive and he gives a better warranty than anyone out there.  With being so close it is a no brainer.

+1 on All American -- especially if you can drop off/pick up, and not have to rely on a shipper.

I also wanted to go all american drives and talked to them. My mechanic wouldn't have it. He's now my ex-mechanic. Go with an all american drive!
