Kohler 5e Gen wont turn over/start

Does anyone know what the aqualift is to drain water from my exhaust?

    You mean the muffler?

    no i think i have back pressure in the generator exhaust...another tech said this..."engine does not want to restart because of the exhaust back pressure so we often have to drain the aqualift to get the water out of the exhaust to let the engine start."

    If it is hydrolocked, check the anti-siphon valve is installed and working.  You should have the raw water line making a “U” above the water line. 

    The raw water flows into the exhaust then into the muffler where it gets expelled overboard.  There should be zero reason to have so much water in the muffler it stops the exhaust.

    Kohler 5e -- can someone tell me the part # for the K3 relay in the controller box?
