VVM suddenly won’t connect to ipad

Had VVM over a year, works great and is viewed in iPad.  Went out on water a couple of days ago, worked fine.  Came back in evening and VVM and iPad would not hook up.  Went out yesterday and would not hook up. Went into engine room this morning to check module and power light is on, and blue tooth light is blinking ( I believe this is all normal.). Would still not hook up.  Downloaded app to wife’s phone.  It was able to discover  VVM and show engine data.  So, I’d say VVM is ok.  iPad still won’t connect.  Any ideas to get iPad to work?

Did you install any software updates lately on the iPad?  Any new apps?  Can the iPad connect to any other BT devices?

I would say reinstall the software on the iPad.  I've seen this happen on iPhone as well and that fixed it.

Thanks guys.  Software on iPad needs to be updated.  We always hate doing that because it seems to screw something else up, but we will do that when we get home (don’t have password here).  The iPad BT does work, as I hooked it up to a Bose speaker fine.  The saving grace is VVM is working great on the iPhone.  The display is much larger and bolder than I expected, so visibility is still real good.

Updated the iPad software and tried hooking up to the VVM last time up.  Still no luck.  Looks like I'll just keep using wife's iPhone for my VVM screen.

VVM can only connect to one device at a time. Had the same issue. Try disconnecting your wife’s iPhone and try again. Mine would auto connect to phone and not allow it to connect to my tablet

@Pat310 will it auto connect to iPhone if the app is not opened in the iPhone?  Otherwise, how do you disconnect the iPhone?

@Spyderweb It definitely was auto connecting. I don’t quite remember how I did it. Try powering off your wife’s phone and then connect tablet. Found this online and might help you also

Toggle off the Bluetooth on her phone.
