    The style of transducer seems ideal for flush mounting on the tab.

    Yes, I installed it on the trim tab. Worked great and was accurate for depth but it didn’t work on plane (not a problem for me). I cut the wire so I only had to drill a small hole in the transom (about 3/8”). 

    I removed it because I made new trim tabs. Will reinstall in the spring, probably on the trim tab again.
