Front connector woes

skennellyskennelly Member Posts: 2,196 ✭✭✭✭
Anyone have their front connector fail where the zippers are "glued' to the eisenglass?

This is the 3rd connector I've had this happen to.

I'm going to see if someone can stitch it instead of the terrible glue Ameritex uses.  Seriously pi$$ed that it failed again.

I'll have to look at mine closer as I don't recall it being glued. My original is stitched but I haven't looked at the new one.

I found a picture of mine and it does look to be glued 😐. Maybe I'll have to have it sewn proactively to prevent this.

I'm pretty sure the sun beating down and the heat causes it to fail.  So dumb

On the 342 mine was glued there. Glue never failed but it did get mildew in the seam so I covered the seam with the matching sunbrella to my canvas and stitched it. Looked much better and did not leak. Local Shop can clean that up for you for sure.
