Pilot Sensor Error

I keep getting Port side Pilot Sensor not working error. See Pic. Where is this located on the 8.1? Can't find it. Thanks in advance for the help.
I did find a rubber hose in the bilge after a mechanic was in there and by the parts diagram it does show a hose attaches to it.

Can you just disable it in the settings?

Not sure but would rather fix it. It doesn't put me in guardian mode and I'm not sure what it does.

It's a pitot, not pilot sensor. The pitot sensor is inside the outdrive, and is used to determine your speed. I'm sure @aero3113 will have pictures of which holes to check, but it could be clogged or something growing in them.

I don’t!! But found these online. Two places to check. The hole gets clogged and also check the hose, it sometimes falls off. Both can be checked in the water.

There is also a quick disconnect on the transom assembly (inside the boat). If it is disconnected it’s most likely disconnected at the drive. It’s happened a couple of times on my old 242.

I have never heard of both pitot sensors being connected. It is one of 5 ecm errors you just ignore. The pitot or speed tubes run from the speedo to the out drive and can get something clogging it anywhere along the line. That is one nice thing about using gps for speed. I can just ignore it.

I've blocked both engines for this alarm, my speedometer on the dash which is connected to the pitot on one drive is reading within 1 -  2 MPH of my GPS.

So it won't mess with the computer if I block it until I get the boat out for the season?

No it will still work, you can unblock at a later date.
