Kohler 4ECD Issue - Need Help

Generator will start and run for hours (usually... lol).  But once I have run it for any significant amount of time say past 45 mins... if I shut it off it wont restart until it cools down for an hour.
I have owned this 2008 Rinker 350 for 2 years.  Since I bought it new to me it has shown code EC43 (which is a stored code) and the normal steps to clear codes does not work, so I cannot tell if it is a current code or something from the past.
Looking for possible solutions to the not restarting till cooled down issue and understanding of stored code EC43 and if it is related.  Thank you for any advise.

This is somewhat common as I have had this as well. After it is ran for a long period and shut down it ends up basically getting vapor locked and doesn't start or is difficult to start. I think the manual even describes this issue.
