Rinker brand relaunch

Anyone here anything about this?  Random guy on FB group said a former rinker engineer who now works for Polaris says R&D is going into re-launching the brand.  Again...just rando FB post.

    Looks like Polaris is building the Hurricane brand boats at the Rinker plant now. Maybe they will start up the Rinker line.

    @Cableguy Greg FB rinker owners group.  Guy claimed his friend is a former rinker engineer and now works for Polaris.

    Update: I have been in contact with Polaris. The Rinker plant is open but they are building Hurricane boats and not Rinker. As I was told "It could happen but no plans immediately". Wish the news was a little better. As I told my contact we are all keeping our fingers crossed.

    Hurricane are made in Northern IN,  Elkhart IN,  I owned one for a while. No frills, not expensive  sea worthy deck boats. You see a lot of them in FL. They most likely cannot keep up with demand. 
    They are inshore boats only. Longest being 26 ft 

     When did Polaris buy hurricane boats?

    Bennington acquired Godfrey, Hurricane and Rinker in 2015, as well as Polar Kraft aluminum fishing boats, which the Vogels sold in 2016 to two RV industry veterans. The four brands are strategically positioned with over 200 base models across a range of price points and fully-custom built options, Polaris said.
