SideShift for Rinker 270 Fiesta Vee

I purchased a SideShift for my 2005 Rinker Fiesta Vee 270. I was hoping to get some advice on the installation from anyone that has already done the installation. I would appreciate any instruction.

I’ve seen them mounted on the bow, but never on an outdrive. Interesting.

Seems like that would affect performance...I wouldn't want that install.

I think on plane it is out of the water. That boat seems to have two stern thrusters though?!

@vandermi sorry, I don't think anybody here has put one in a 270.

I can't imagine wanting a stern thruster on a boat with sterndrives.  To push the stern to one side, just turn the steering wheel.

It is probably a bow thruster. Sideshift offers both bow and stern.

Yeah, I am looking to add the Bow thruster. Not the stern thruster. As stated just turn the wheel.

What do you expect the cost to be @vandermi? I would be concerned there is enough meat in the bow- would guess some boats are made with that idea in mind- nor sure our 270's are...I wonder if it was a factory option? That would tell you...

@rasbury , the SideShift thruster is an external mounted thruster. He wouldn’t have to worry about that.

Plenty of bow meat to install a tunnel in a 28’ boat.
