Leaking Hose

I found a leak in my shower sump pump discharge hose, So I am wonder what other hose I can be use to replace this Corrugated polyethylene one. Thx

You could use the same hose that attaches to any thru Hull fitting for water, such as your generator or AC water pump

Been there too!  Rubber bilge hose works.  Just avoid any of that plastic ribbed tube, just a when not an if for leaks.

Has anyone done this on a 342?  I have a small intermittent source of mystery water in my forward bilge that collects just aft of the bilge pump. I think this could be a potential culprit but I couldn’t figure out how to access the hose.

I did that repair on my 342.  It’s a bugger to run the new hose and get put the old one!  Doable though. 

As for the water in the bilge under the aft bunk…there are a few ways water gets in there. Water leaks at the A/C pump and toilet strainer area. Shower sump box leaking. Water leaks at your shore power plugs (bad gasket). Even water leaks at the A/C unit at the bow (raw water or even the condensate pan).

Add one more to BDs list.  It can also be water coming in thru the rub rail or a port window.

BD how did you access the thru hull for the discharge hose?

@MH342 pretty easy on the 342 for the discharge side.  You can get to it from the A/C access at the front berth.

BD, on my 2006 I think the shower sump discharge thruhull is behind the bathroom.  The boat is still wrapped but I found an old pic that seems to show 2 thruhulls below the bathroom porthole. If I remember correctly, one is the shower sump discharge and one is the bathroom sink drain. I’m curious how you got access to that one. Seems like everything is buried behind the bathroom floor and walls.  Is that the one you replaced?
