Bottom Paint Question

Obviously there are plenty of posts on bottom paint here. My question relates to having sanded the blue bottom paint on my boat, there were some places where I got a bit overzealous and hit white. Should I be priming that before bottom painting it again or can I just simply hit that with the bottom paint and be done? Supposedly this boat had a barrier coat at one time. If priming is needed, any suggested products?

Funny, I was talking to the Pettit tech support guy today and asking about priming where it wasn’t painted before on the sides near the stern and he suggested as a small area to leave and just apply 2 coats (as I was going to anyway) of the Hydrocoat ECO I am using. If I have leftover I’ll give it a 3rd.
