Rinker 420

When I run water through sinks just to clean out winter antifreeze in take, the water comes out the side of the boat from two small stainless steel valves. Shouldn't the water go down the sink into the waste tank?

Sinks and shower drain overboard (unless the boat has a grey water system).  Toilet drains into the waste (black water) tank.

@foghorn1 That’s how they drain. Antifreeze that’s in the lines will go overboard along with fresh water from the sink. Your shower sump will also pump water overboard.

So, hopefully when you say antifreeze, you mean the pink stuff designed to go in water systems.  The pink stuff is environmentally friendly.

Thanks all. My last boat for 40+ years ago and that was a 17' outboard. A lot of this is new to me.
