420 Diesel exhaust fan

When toggled on, it makes a loud piercing sound? Any ideas

    Had the exact same on one of my engine room-blowers last summer. That blower had to be replaced. Even though I am Diesel I still always run the blowers while running as diesels love plenty of air.
